Growing Roses within limited space
I named my little corner of the world Bonnie Doon, after the Australian movie The Castle, which stared Michael Caton, Anne Tenney and Eric Bana. In particular, there was a scene where the family goes on vacation to the holiday shack called Bonnie Doon. Michael Caton stands on the porch looking out over a lovely lake, he draws in a deep breath, and says, how's the serenity, how's the serenity. Then the camera pans up, to show big overhead power lines, with the power poles set in the lake, which spoils the view, quite a comical part of the movie.
Well that's a lot like where I live, I have a beautiful serine oasis surrounding me, only a few hundred metres from the beach, then when you look up and over our back and side fences, we have a busy main road, a shopping centre and a busy walk way. Well for me I can see the parallel, not as comical as the movie but the name Boonie Doon is a good fit for my home. Anyways you are welcome to leave your comments under contacts....
